There’s definitely a change in the air; a few warmer afternoons, a few bright sunshine mornings to lift our spirits – as we edge away from the start of the year and the days stretch longer I think we’re all finding joy and smiling at the those tenacious snowdrops pushing through the frost, pockets of yellow sprouting daffodils coming up in clumps, the baby bunnies on the verge at daylight, the call of the vixens at night, the sea of colour in the meadows and our gardens and the triumph of the spring over winter!
I’ve put together a selection of cakes that all call out spring to me, I hope you some of these trigger your ideas and creative juices as you look forward to creating spring time cakes for your families and your clients.

Or how about a this flowing floral spring cascade with natural whites, soft greens, gentle blush and a scattering of gold with spring time bees hidden amidst green foliage, succulents, wisteria, white peonies, pink and white roses, lithianthus and shamrocks. A spring-time idyllic floral dream.
If brights are more you then how about the bold oranges and pinks set against that blue sky of a bright spring day. This was a mix of hand-crafted sugar flowers with hand-painted version to give a truly stunning three dimensional effect. I hand-paint with cocoa butter to give me more striking colours and better paint manipulation time.
