Kayleigh came to me 18 months ago after attending a wedding with one on my cakes. She had two clear visions, the first being a sculpted elephant to fit in with her Woburn Safari wedding, the second being a dreamy, vintage three tier birdcage.
She really couldn’t decide so I asked her if she had thought about combining the two and sketched up my idea. Luckily for me she loved the sketch and agreed straight away.
18 months later here is the result in cake, a blend of both her ideas, resulting in a really unique and showstopping wedding cake.
The roses are made with edible wafer paper and edible lace. The whole design is airbrushed and dusted to age it and tone it all together.
I’m so thankful to have bride’s like Kayleigh who allow me to create these amazingly unique, one of a kind, gravity defying wedding cakes.
